It all began in Nicaragua: in 2018, Khalil Radi, co-founder, and Jaffet Davila, a local, came up with the idea of giving people in the Rivas region the opportunity to swap plastic bottles for meals at a community event. Today, the collected plastic is processed into new products in our local factory

Growing up in the slums of Mumbai, 20-year-old Shakti Yadav contacted us via Instagram and was determined to implement our concept there. Since 2020, we have been active in the slums of Bhandup, enabling people to exchange plastic bottles for meals and building a recycling infrastructure.

George Kwame Quansah approached us to implement the concept in the Elmina region. We have been active there since 2020, enabling the population to exchange plastic bottles and plastic bags (sachets - a major problem in Ghana) for meals, while at the same time setting up a recycling infrastructure.
